Terms of Service — RARI

By accessing or using the RARI mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App (16 years old in the European Union).
• You must not be barred from using the App by Apple or Google policies.
• You must provide accurate registration information.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not share your account or transfer it to anyone else.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, use automation tools, or modify the App
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post offensive, hateful, illegal, or inappropriate content
• Impersonate others or create misleading accounts
• Attempt to access another user’s account
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes without our written permission
• Sell, rent, or transfer your account or in-app items to third parties

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban without refund.

4. Virtual Goods and Currency

• XP, level, achievements, and unlocked items are virtual goods provided as part of the service.
• They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Virtual goods are non-transferable and non-refundable once granted.
• We may modify, remove, or discontinue virtual goods at any time.

5. Purchases

• All purchases are made through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Refund policies are governed by Apple and Google.
• For Battle Pass and other subscriptions, recurring billing applies until you cancel through the store.
• Receipts and billing disputes should be addressed to Apple or Google directly.
• We do not store your payment card information — it is handled by the app stores.

6. Supporter Tiers and Donations

• Supporter contributions (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Patron, Founding Supporter) provide in-app benefits.
• Donations are non-refundable except as required by Apple/Google policies.
• Founding Supporter perks (Hall of Fame entry, mention in credits) are subject to moderation — inappropriate messages may be removed without refund.

7. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you create (chat messages, Hall of Fame messages, profile info), but you grant RARI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it within the App.

You agree your content will not:

• Violate any law or third-party rights
• Be defamatory, obscene, or harassing
• Promote violence, discrimination, or hatred

We may remove any content at our discretion without notice.

8. Tournaments and Competitions

• Some tournaments may have additional rules and prizes.
• Cheating in tournaments results in immediate disqualification + ban.
• Prizes (when applicable) are subject to verification of identity and tax compliance in your jurisdiction.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
• Some provisions of these Terms survive termination (Sections 4, 5, 11, 12, 13).

10. Changes to the App

• We may add, modify, or remove features at any time without notice.
• We may change these Terms; significant changes will be notified via in-app message.
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Disclaimers

• The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• We do not guarantee that bugs will be fixed in any specific timeframe.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• RARI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months (or USD $50, whichever is greater).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RARI, Roodolph01, and our affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your user-generated content

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Canada.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
